Generalised Anxiety Disorder

People who experience symptoms of Generalised Anxiety Disorder, or GAD, experience anxiety symptoms (for example, nausea, headaches, dry mouth, sweating, shaking, feeling hot, heart racing or strong heart beat, muscle tension) when thinking or worrying about a wide range of situations rather than one specific event.

This tends to be a long-term condition and people may say, "I've always been a worrier."

People with GAD will experience anxiety most days, which may affect sleep and concentration.
